We are looking for a skilled and proactive Upwork Bidding Specialist to join our team. As an Upwork Bidding Specialist, you will be responsible for acquiring new projects and clients on the Upwork platform through effective bidding strategies. This role offers a commission-based compensation structure, providing an opportunity to earn based on successfully securing projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Upwork platform, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of winning projects through persuasive proposals and bids.

Responsibilities:

  1. Research and identify potential projects and clients on the Upwork platform that align with our services and expertise.
  2. Craft compelling and tailored proposals and bids for Upwork projects, highlighting our strengths, capabilities, and value proposition.
  3. Customize bid responses to address the specific requirements and preferences of each client, demonstrating a clear understanding of their needs.
  4. Utilize effective bidding strategies to increase the likelihood of winning projects, such as competitive pricing, strategic positioning, and value-added propositions.
  5. Engage with clients through Upwork’s messaging system to clarify project details, answer questions, and build rapport.
  6. Monitor project listings and competition on Upwork to stay informed about market trends, client preferences, and bidding strategies.
  7. Follow up on submitted proposals and bids in a timely manner, proactively addressing any client inquiries or concerns.
  8. Collaborate with the project management team to transition successfully awarded projects and clients into the onboarding process.
  9. Maintain accurate records of bidding activity, project leads, and client interactions in our internal systems.
  10. Continuously evaluate and refine bidding strategies based on performance metrics, client feedback, and industry best practices.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as an Upwork freelancer with a successful track record of winning projects and clients.
  2. In-depth knowledge of the Upwork platform, including its features, policies, and best practices for bidding and proposal writing.
  3. Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to articulate our value proposition effectively to potential clients.
  4. Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft persuasive and professional proposals and bids that stand out from the competition.
  5. Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to seeking out new opportunities and closing deals.
  6. Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple bids and projects simultaneously.
  7. Ability to work independently and remotely, with access to a reliable internet connection and necessary communication tools.
  8. Familiarity with project management tools and CRM software is a plus.
  9. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  10. Prior experience in sales, business development, or freelance bidding is advantageous.
